Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how ASO Research Tool ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at aso-tool.online (the "Service").

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and improve your browsing experience. Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device until deleted) or "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser).

How We Use Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Service to function properly. They enable core functionality such as authentication, session management, and security. You cannot opt out of these cookies.

  • Authentication cookies — Managed by Supabase to keep you signed in and maintain your session.
  • Cookie consent — Stores your cookie preference so we don't ask you again.
  • Project selection — Remembers your currently selected project (stored in localStorage).

Analytics Cookies

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Service. These cookies collect information about page views, visitor counts, and performance metrics. This data is anonymized and aggregated — we do not track individual users across other websites.

  • Vercel Analytics — Collects page view data, referrer information, and browser type.
  • Vercel Speed Insights — Measures Core Web Vitals and page load performance.

Security Cookies

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our login and signup pages to protect against bots and abuse. Turnstile may set cookies to verify that you are a real user.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services we use:

  • Supabase — Authentication and session management.
  • Vercel — Hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring.
  • Cloudflare — Bot protection (Turnstile) on authentication pages.
  • PayPal — If you interact with the donation button, PayPal may set cookies.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When you first visit our Service, you will see a cookie consent banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, blocking essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly.

Data Retention

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for varying periods depending on their purpose, typically between 30 days and 1 year. Authentication cookies expire when your session ends or after a period of inactivity.

Your Rights (EU/EEA Users)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

You can delete your account and all associated data from the Account Settings page.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
